Utpanna Ekadashi (Birth of Ekadashi Devi)

Sacred Katha Synopsis

In Satya Yuga, the demon Mura conquered Indraloka. Lord Vishnu battled him for a thousand years before resting in Badrikashrama's Hemavati cave. Pleased, Lord Vishnu named her 'Ekadashi' and blessed her as His dearest Tithi.
