Prana Pratishtha & Avahana (प्राण-प्रतिष्ठा एवं आवाहन)
Touch the heart of the idol with Kusha grass or betel leaf and chant the Prana Pratishtha mantra to invoke the divine consciousness into the clay form.

Shodashopachara Snana & Vastra Arpan (स्नान एवं वस्त्र-जनेऊ)
Offer aachaman drops of pure water and Gangajal. Offer Janeu across the left shoulder, adorn with red vermillion (Sindoor), and apply fragrant sandalwood tilak.

Offering 21 Durva Blades & Red Flowers (२१ दूर्वा अर्पण)
Offer 21 paired blades of fresh green Durva grass one by one while chanting the 11 holy names of Ganesha (Gajanana, Lambodara, Ekadanta, Vighnaraja, etc.). Place red hibiscus flowers on his crown.

Bhog of 21 Modaks, Aarti & Visarjan Protocol (मोदक भोग एवं आरती)
Offer 21 steamed Ukadiche Modaks or besan laddoos. Perform Aarti with 'Sukh Karta Dukh Harta' or 'Jai Ganesh Deva'. On Visarjan day, perform utthapana pooja and immerse in clean water or garden soil.

- Do not offer Tulsi leaves to Lord Ganesha (prohibited by scripture)
- Never use Plaster of Paris (PoP) or toxic chemical colored idols
