Prahlad and Narasimha Invocation (प्रह्लाद एवं नृसिंह स्मरण)
Stand facing East or North near the Holika wood pyre. Offer water, rice, and flowers honoring Bhakt Prahlad and Lord Narasimha.
Celebrated on Phalguna Purnima twilight, this sacred ritual commemorates the victory of devotion over tyranny when wicked Holika was reduced to ashes while innocent Prahlad walked out unharmed.
Stand facing East or North near the Holika wood pyre. Offer water, rice, and flowers honoring Bhakt Prahlad and Lord Narasimha.
Hold the raw white yarn roll in hand and walk clockwise around the Holika pyre 3, 5, or 7 times, wrapping the thread continuously around the logs.
Drop the cowdung garland, batashas, turmeric, and raw coconut into the pyre. Roast the fresh wheat stalks in the sacred heat as auspicious prasad.
The following morning (Dhulandi/Holi), collect a pinch of cooling sacred ash from the pyre and apply it as a tilak on the forehead and throat for divine health and protection.
